(Seriously, in your browser. Just click.)
It was tricky, but the greatest things usually are.
Coda for Mac started with a powerful text editor, then added essential web tools, wrapped in a clean interface. When the iPad came out, we decided we'd do it all again, but this time: to-go.
The foundation of Diet Coda is your sites: create one for each of your web projects, local—with Dropbox sync—or remote—with FTP or SFTP. With one tap, you're set, viewing and managing your files in our full-featured file manager.
Tap a file and you land in our highly-optimized text editor, which syntax highlights your code with ease. Now, try this: move the insertion point. Whoa. You just met the Super Loupe, some magnifying magic we think is the easiest way to precisely set your cursor. And, it should be noted, only Diet Coda has it.
Let’s say you also have some snippets of code you re-use a lot. Tap the clips icon in Diet Coda, and load them in. Now you can insert them with a single tap. And let’s say you accidentally inverted the values of your width and height tags. With our find and replace banner—and its breakthrough wildcard button—you can easily replace or swap or re-arrange your text.
We also threw in a full-featured SSH terminal. It lets you get down to business without leaving Diet Coda. Switch to the terminal anytime via our visual tabs. Our contextual keyboard also gives a selection of special characters quite smartly, as you type.
Finally, if you hook Diet Coda up to Coda 2, you can preview as you code with AirPreview.
It’s here. It’s amazing. It’s ready to work for you.
A professional app at a price that’s affordable to any web developer.

Oh yes. Arrow keys, text selection, and even all your most-used keyboard shortcuts: ⌘-Z, ⌘-S, and more.
First, you’ll need a Mac running Coda 2 with a preview-able document open for editing. Next, launch Diet Coda on your iPad, and make sure your iPad is connected to the same local network as your Mac. Finally, click "Air Preview" at the bottom of the editor pane in Coda 2, and follow the onscreen directions. Easy!
