We started Panic with two things: $500, and a love of the Mac.
We had no idea what we were doing. Fortunately, someone else did.
We watched, amazed, as Steve Jobs returned to our beloved “beleaguered” company, reinvented it, supercharged it, and blew it up, right before our eyes. Like some unbelievable movie montage, Apple went from a marginal novelty to rewriting the rules of entire industries, in the blink of an i.
And as Apple grew, we grew.
And as Apple inspired, we were inspired.
It's not exaggeration to say that everything we have today — from our apps, to our employees, to our office, to our houses, even to FaceTime moments with our kids and favorite songs fading in on a rainy walk home — is thanks to Apple.
All of it. Steve’s Apple.
When we started Panic, we’d often daydream about Steve demoing one of our apps on stage. That says so much. “Let's work hard to make this keynote-good!”
We’re heartbroken to be in a world where that will never happen.
But, if Steve has taught us one thing, it’s this: we will never stop working for it.
We’ll miss you.
