Transmit Beta Signup

truckyJust a quick note:

If you’re serious about testing software, you’re good at filing well-written bugs, dedicated about trying successive builds, and you have a knack for breaking things, we’d like to personally invite you to sign up to possibly test an upcoming Transmit release.

A few disclaimers: we can only accept a limited number of testers (you’ll be notified only if you’re chosen and please don’t take it personally if you’re not!), you’ll likely will receive no compensation, and there are inherent risks with testing beta software, especially when it transfers your presumably important files.

All that being said, as a small company with (sadly) no QA department (yet?), your input will be literally invaluable to our engineers, and you’ll help make a better shipping product!

10-4 good buddy, etc. We hope you have a nice weekend!

Love how there’s a “Creative writing space”-field. I wrote you a small short story, hope you like it!

Be prepared for people signing up multiple times just because the animation after submitting the form looks nice but is too quick to see it properly…

Arne, I had the same idea, I’m just working on my “Creative Writing Space” story submission right now. :)

Hey dude…. are you doing students prices ?

thank a lot dude your’ doing great job

Man, this blog is great! I signed up. Will we be notified if we are not chosen? Either way do you guys have an ETA for when you will sent off your emails?

I would sign up, but I’m a happy 10.4 Tiger user, and I doubt you’re planning on supporting an OS that’s two versions old.

Unfortunately, it’s true. Our new releases will be 10.5 or above. We’ll keep previous builds around for legacy users, though!

A Coda Beta Signup exists?

Yo. Sign me up!

Nice signup site! Loquacious, destructive and on 10.6…. sign me up! Unison beta was fun!

I would love to be a part of the Transmit beta team. Long time Transmit fan and evangelist here. :)

i’ll test it

Need anymore beta testers? :D

On a more serious note, I’m hoping users can get a preference option to always display hidden files on remote servers. I know it’s in the “View” menu but I had trouble finding it years ago and just recently a colleague was beating his head into the wall trying to figure out how to see various server configuration files. I ended up writing an article on the topic for the sake of others wondering how to do this:

http://osxdaily.com/2010/04/19/show-invisible-files-in-transmit-for-mac/

So maybe have a checkbox within the Preferences to always display hidden files, and still have the View menu for one-time uses?

Just my 2 cents.
